The idea came to a few people internally and they made it happen by having the air spring modified down to 40 mm. The enjoyment they found riding it and the positive reactions by others that saw it in the wild got around the office and we decided to delve further into the possibilities.

It was too late to go to the drawing board and design a purpose-built gravel grinder fork in time for our model year 2018 product line release, but we certainly had the time to tune and refine it for the task.

While we're not sure of all of the frames/sizes this iteration will be compatible with, we decided to open this project up to the public willing to live on the cutting edge of early adoption.
